Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Luke 18:16

A Letter From Ms. Pam March 2010
“People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him
touch them,…And he took the children in his arms, put his
hands on them and blessed them.” Mark 10:13, 16
Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool welcomes the little children of our congregation, as well as the children from our community. The students studied the story of “The Little Children and Jesus” as told by Mark in chapter 10 and were assured that Jesus loves them and all children of the world.
Jesus wants them to share His love with others just as He wants us to share His love too. One way our students and congregation are able to help is to spread the news about Pre-registration for our preschool for the year beginning in August 2010. Pre-registration begins the week of March 2 – 4 and will continue through summer. Brochures and forms are available in the church and preschool office. Let us join hands and reach out to all of God’s children. Your help is greatly appreciated.
One of the outreach field trips we participate in is delivering Valentine boxes filled with candy to our dear friends at Smoky Springs Retirement Center. In this way, our students share the love of Jesus with their senior friends. It is so heart-warming to see the exchange of smiles and hugs between young and old. They really have so much in common and treasure the gift of friendship and the feeling of importance. The children are looking forward to the “Bell Ringers” next visit to the preschool so they are able to share the gift of music together. Join us if you are able on March 17th at 10:00.
Another story demonstrating Jesus’ love for his people is “Jesus Feeds the 5,000” as told by John in chapter 6. The children explored the details of this story and the fact that a boy with so little was the catalyst for Jesus performing such a great miracle. Jesus’ love shows no boundaries, whether young or old, rich or poor. May we “receive the kingdom of God like a little child” and share God’s love with others.
“Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those
who were seated as much as they wanted.” John 6:11
